EUR 38 million loan for Leipzig Zoo in Germany

Brussels, 26/09/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank (EIB) has announced that it will be granting a EUR 38 million loan for modernising the infrastructure of Leipzig Zoo in Germany. The shelters and enclosures have become obsolete and will be replaced with new structures providing similar conditions for the animals as they would enjoy in their natural habitat. The attraction of this "Zoo of the future" will be enhanced by creating geographical theme zones and the opportunity...
