By the end of the year, WORMS & CIE, a company controlled by the Italian family, Agnelli, is to sell APPLETON PAPERS, the American subsidiary of ARJO WIGGINS APPLETON, specialised in self-copying and thermal paper. The amount expected from the deal is $810 million. According to the projects under way, the employees of APPLETON PAPERS are buying up the company. With a turnover of $1.1 billion in 2000, APPLETON PAPERS contributes to one third of the turnover made by ARJO WIGGINS APPLETON.
