Baron welcomes Bush's cautious speech distancing itself from the warlike comments so often heard over recent days

Brussels, 24/09/2001 (Agence Europe) - "Never has democracy been destroyed by terrorism and, if the attacks mean that terrorism is on the rise again, our response must be a common but measured response", declared Enrique Baron, Spanish leader of the Socialist Group, last week.
