24/09/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Union monitoring mission for the 4 November parliamentary elections in Nicaragua, chaired by Jannis Sakellariou MEP (German, Social-Democrat), was expected in Managua on 25 September. Mr. Sakellariou is being assisted by five experts and eight long-term monitors, deployed throughout the territory, to which will be added 63 short-term monitors.
