24/09/2001 (Agence Europe) - European Research Commissioner, Philippe Busquin, will be opening a conference in Brussels on 25 September on the role of research in extending the use of renewable energy sources. Some 400 representatives of the research world, energy generators and regulation authorities will participate in the two-day conference which EUROPE will be reporting on in more detail.
