France ratifies Treaty

Paris, 29/06/2001 (Agence Europe) - France is the second country to have ratified the Treaty of Nice, after Denmark. After the "yes" of the National Assembly (see EUROPE of 14 June, p.5), the Senate took a stance, on 28 June, in favour of ratification, by 288 to 8, which completes ratification procedure by the French Parliament.
