According to Commission survey, economic impact of enlargement would be more advantageous to future Member States than to Fifteen

Brussels, 29/06/2001 (Agence Europe) - Enlargement could entail up to 2% increase in GDP growth, as an annual average, in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe over ten years after their membership to the EU, whereas the effect on the current Member States would be only a cumulative progression of 0.7% growth over the period 2000-2009.
