Council invites Mr Solana and Mr Moratinos to continue contacts with parties and with Washington

Brussels, 23/01/2001 (Agence Europe) - As was briefly indicated yesterday, the General Affairs Council adopted, on Monday conclusions on the peace process in the Middle East in which they assert its support for the marathon negotiations started this week by the Israeli and Palestinian authorities in Taba, Egypt. During their Monday debate the Ministers, concerned with the risk of weighing on the negotiations welcomed this new initiative in favour of peace. The Ministers welcome the efforts...
