ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) tourism

The Japanese travel agents, KINKI NIPPON TOURIST and NIPPON TRAVEL AGENCY have announced their merger for 2003 to compete with the sector's number one JTB - JAPAN TRAVEL BUREAU (1,400 bn yen turnover in 2000). The new entity will have a combined annual turnover of 1,330 bn yen.
