French ERIDANIA BEGHIN-SAY (annual turnover EUR 9.01 billion in 1999) is planning to split into four entities quoted on the stock exchange. The first would group oilseeds, cooking oils, proteins and lecithin and would have a turnover of EUR 4.6 billion. The second would group sugar and sugar by-products (turnover EUR 1.9 billion), the third starch and its derivatives (EUR 1.6 billion in turnover) and the fourth animal feed (EUR 900 million turnover).
