Japanese photocopier and office equipment manufacturer RICOH is to make a friendly bid of $260 million for the acquisition of American LANIER WORLDWIDE (photocopier, fax and printing machine maintenance services; turnover $1.3 billion for the financial year ending June with 8,200 employed) through its American subsidiary RICOH CORP.
