The Irish banking-insurance company IRISH LIFE AND PERMANENT has announced the takeover of the Irish bank TSB BANK for 430 million euro, 85.1% of which to be paid in cash and 14.9% in an exchange of shares. The activities of TSB will be merged with IRISH PERMANENT, the banking branch of IRISH LIFE AND PERMANENT, to form a new entity called PERMANENT TSB.
