ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) chemicals

Britain's ICI - IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES is to sell three of its divisions, CHLOR-CHEMICALS (caustic soda), KLEA (fluorine) and CROSFIELD (silicates) to the Belgian firm INEOS for £325 million. These three divisions had a turnover of £722 million in 1999.
