According to the Financial Times Deutschland, German DEUTSCHE TELEKOM is interested in acquiring a stake in Belgian BELGACOM. The Belgian government is undergoing preliminary talks with several operators in order to sell part of the 50.01% the Belgian State holds in BELGACOM. We recall that TELE DANMARK, SINGAPORE TELECOMMUNICATIONS and SBC COMMUNICATIONS share the remaining 49.99%.
