Commission authorises EDF to acquire Cottam power station

Brussels, 01/12/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission is authorising EDF (Electrcité de France) to acquire the Cottam power station in the United Kingdom, presently held by Powerg PLC and whose main activity is the production of electricity in England and Wales. EDF produces, distributes and provides electricity in France and exports towards neighbouring countries notably England and Wales.
