Commission approves programming documents for Objective 2 aid in eastern and southern Scotland and in Gibraltar

Brussels, 01/12/2000 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the European Commission approved three of the fourteen programming documents intended to specify the kinds of projects that could benefit from Objective 2 aid in the United Kingdom from 2000 to 2006. Objective 2 is intended, we recall, to support regions undergoing conversion.

The region of eastern Scotland will receive EUR 250.54 million from the Community budget, to which must be added British public and private financing. The priorities...
