In Belgium, the companies ASPEL (turnover EUR 16 million in 1999 with around 100 employed) and POLYFORM (BERGINVEST group; turnover EUR 9.8 million in 1999 with 70 employed) have been taken over by AFINIA PLASTICS, an investment company active in the plastic processing industry. With these acquisitions, AFINIA PLASTICS will employ some 950 persons and will make a cumulated turnover of EUR 120 million.
