Brussels, 01/12/2000 (Agence Europe) - On Sunday 3 December, as of 17: 30pm, held in Brussels, a meeting of the IGC in ministerial conclave format, dedicated to the particular problem of the size and formation of the Commission (and in particular the details for the equal rotation considered for a capped Commission) and reinforced cooperation in the second and third pillars. On this occasion the Presidency will present a new revised summary document (the IGC participants have presently on their table a 108 page document).
Monday at 16pm the Ministers will have their usual exchange of views on the state of progress of the negotiations in the IGC with Nicole Fontaine, President of the European Parliament, and will eventually extend their works.
(After the vote in plenary on the European Council, Thursday, Mrs Fontaine, questioned by the press on the risk of a failure in Nice, had affirmed that she refused to agree on a logic of failure, and that the IGC should imperatively succeed).
