Brussels, 16/11/2000 (Agence Europe) - The Commission has decided that the aid provided by Belgium to the steel company Cockerill Sambre SA are incompatible with the common market and must be recuperated. This concerns a sum of EUR 13.8 million granted by the Belgian State and the Walloon Region on 1 January 1999, and which should have been paid over a seven year period, between 1999 and 2005.
