The British group C&W - CABE AND WIRELESS (£4.42 bn turnover in the first half of 2000/2001 fiscal year) is to sell the 52.5% majority stake it has in its Australian subsidiary C&W OPTUS LTD. This stake is valued at between $10 and 12 bn.
