Lamy reaffirms liberalisation of trade could benefit LDC if controlled, while African ministers remain perplexed

Brussels / Libreville, 16/11/2000 (Agence Europe) - Speaking before the fifty African trade ministers who met early in the week in Gabon, European Commissioner Pascal Lamy gave his assurance that the efforts being made by the Union to integrate new subjects in the next round of trade talks have no protectionist intentions.
