Luxembourg, 17/10/2000 (Agence Europe) - The EU Statistical Office - Eurostat - indicated that in September inflation in the EU had increased, rising from, with a yearly average, from 2.3% to 2.8% in the Euro area, and from 2% to 2.5% in the EU as a whole. The situation nevertheless remains different according to the Member States, the divide going from 1% in the United Kingdom to 4.2% in Luxembourg.
