ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) telecommunications

Swedish group ERICSSON has taken over control of MPD - MICROWAVE POWER DEVICES, an American company specialised in radio technologies. According to the agreement signed, ERICSSON immediately acquires over 50% of MPD capital for the sum of $100 million, or $8.70 per share. It will acquire the remaining shares within ten days.
