ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) agri-food industry

The Anglo-Dutch group UNILEVER is to put its BESTFOODS BAKING division up for sale. The division is part of the American group BESTFOODS, acquired in June. The company up for sale is one of the main American bakery-pastry companies with an annual turnover of $1.7 billion. Analysts evaluate the company at between $1.5 and 2 billion.
