ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) privatisations

- Italy: Treasury Minister Vincenzo Visco announced that the Italian government will, by the end of the year, carry out the privatisation of a new section of the electricity company ENEL, which had been partially privatised in autumn 1999 (see EI of 3 November). The State still holds 68.26% of this company.
