The Sunday Times is reporting that the French group DANONE and Britain's CADBURY SCHWEPPES are preparing a joint bid of GBP 10 billion for the takeover of the American giant NABISCO. CADBURY is expected to contribute GBP 4 billion and DANONE the remaining 6 billion. See EI of 17 May.
