Brussels, 07/06/2000 (Agence Europe) - European Transport Commissioner Loyola de Palacio presented to the Commission, on Wednesday, an interim report on the work of the high level group and the industrial and social working group which have, since January, been preparing the creation of a "single European sky" (see yesterday's EUROPE, p.14). The Commissioner notes that air traffic control organisation and the national fragmenting of space is one of the main reasons for flight delays. Counting on the spirit of cooperation by the military for better organisation of the European airspace, she defines the guidelines for future operational proposals.
