European Commission proposes providing more concrete substance to fight against sexual harassment

Brussels, 07/06/2000 (Agence Europe) - On a proposal by Anna Diamantopoulou, the Commissioner for Equal Opportunities, the European Commission adopted a draft directive on Wednesday aimed at banning sexual harassment in the workplace, which is an initial attempt to put an end to that practice through European legislation.
