Date of ministerial meeting must be set, says Gama

Brussels / Jakarta, 07/06/2000 (Agence Europe) - It is urgent to agree on a date for the 13th ministerial meeting between the European Union and ASEAN before the end of the year, said Portuguese Foreign Minister Jaime Gama on behalf of the EU during his official visit to Indonesia last week. "We are counting on the new democratic Indonesia to give fresh momentum to ASEAN and contribute to improving links with the European Union", he added.
