Go-ahead for total control of Autonova by Ford

Brussels, 25/05/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has authorised the acquisition by Ford Motor Company of the full control of Swedish company Autonova, a car assembler. The Swedish company is currently jointly owned by Ford's subsidiary Volvo Car Corp and British car manufacturer TWR. Autonova assembles, among other models, the Volvo coupe C70. European competition services feel the operation does not modify Ford's position on the market for passenger cars.
