Brussels, 07/04/2000 (Agence Europe) - As pointed out earlier (see yesterday's EUROPE, p.10), the European Parliament will not be voting on a resolution next week to close the debate it held last week on the "Echelon" surveillance network. The Greens Group, which requested with other groups that a committee of inquiry be set up, asked for the Conference of Presidents to examine this request next Thursday in Strasbourg.
