ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) insurance

Italian insurance firm UNIPOL has announced the acquisition of AURORA ASSICURAZIONI and NAVALE ASSICURAZIONI, two GENERALI subsidiaries, for the sum of around EUR 247.8 million. Furthermore, UNIPOL will purchase the interests of TELECOM ITALIA in the insurance company MEIE ASSICURAZIONI (51.2%) and in the life insurance firm MEIE VITA (51%) for around EUR 346 million.
