Brussels, 22/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - The ambition of the extraordinary summit of Lisbon is to trace a "European road for the new economy based on innovation and knowledge". The capital tour by Prime Minister Guterres allowed the Member States' determination to be "tested" and to note that "all the prime ministers fully understand the overall ambition" of the Portuguese Presidency.
