ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) investment

- Mexico: Mexican President Ernesto Zedillo has announced that his government is counting on USD 12.4 billion in foreign direct investment in 2000, or a 24% rise over last year, due to the many partnership agreements concluded with third countries. This amount is close to the record level of USD 13 billion recorded in 1997.
