European Commission opens detailed investigation on Microsoft project to take over control of Telewest (UK) with Liberty Media Corporation

Brussels, 22/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has decided to open a full investigation into the proposed acquisition of joint control by Microsoft Corporation with Liberty Media Corporation over Telewest Communications. The move is in no way connected to other issues under examination in which Microsoft is involved.
