European Transport Safety Council welcomes measures proposed by the European Commission, while regretting lack of harmonisation on authorised rate of alcohol in the blood for driving

Brussels, 21/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Transport Safety Council welcomes in a press release the Road Safety Communication adopted on Friday last by the European Commission (see EUROPE of 18 March, page 10 and 11 March, page 13). This association, which has been lobbying in Brussels for the adoption of measures to reduce road accidents on a lasting basis, is satisfied that the Commission is proposing the adoption of legislation making car fronts safer for pedestrians and cyclists...
