ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) sanitary equipment

The German group VILLEROY & BOCH AG has acquired the Swedish group AB GUSTAVSBERG (annual turnover of around EUR 83 million with 600 employees), specialised in sanitary equipment, from Finland's SANITEC. VILLEROY & BOCH had turnover of DEM 1.63 billion in 1999, of which 430 million in bath and kitchen equipment.
