Memorandum of Understanding signed for creation of Equasis database on quality of seagoing vessels

Brussels, 01/02/2000 (Agence Europe) - The maritime administrations in France, the United Kingdom, Spain, Singapore and the United States as well as the European Commission signed a Memorandum of Understanding in London last week for the creation of a database, Equasis, which will collect safety-related information on the world's merchant fleet from both public and private sources.
