European Commission continues infringement proceedings against Germany, Austria and Italy

Brussels, 13/01/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission announced on Thursday that it had begun eleven infringement proceedings against three Member States for failure to comply with Community rules on public procurement: lack of transposition of certain directives into national law or irregularities in the awarding of some contracts.

In two cases of non-transposition, concerning Germany and Italy, infringement proceedings were initiated at the Court of Justice. In the other cases,...
