ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) temporary employment

The American temporary employment agency MANPOWER has bought the British group ELAN (estimated turnover of EUR 244 million in 1999 with 1,600 job placements a year; offices in the United Kingdom, Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany and Ireland), specialised in information technology personnel, for around EUR 141 million. The information technology branch of MANPOWER UK will be merged with ELAN's.
