01/06/26 (Agence Europe) – The Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU has invited Spain, Germany, France, Italy, Netherlands and Poland to present their common position on the ‘MISP’ package to all Member States, following the meeting held last Thursday by the Union’s six largest economies. “In order to facilitate discussions in a transparent and inclusive way, we have invited the E6 to present at Working Party level their position on ‘MISP’”, a Cypriot official told Agence Europe on Monday 1 June. “This will provide Member States with an opportunity to better understand the views underpinning the E6 political declaration and contribute to a more informed exchange amongst Member States”, he added. Last Friday, the ‘Group of Six’ (E6) made public a six-part political declaration, potentially paving the way for greater centralisation of financial supervision (see EUROPE 13877/17). (BD)
