01/06/2026 (Agence Europe) – NATO announced on Monday 1 June that Japan had finalised, on Friday 29 May, its deployment of personnel to the command in Germany responsible for NATO Security Assistance and Training for Ukraine (NSATU). NSATU coordinates the delivery of equipment and the training of the Ukrainian armed forces. “Japan’s contribution to NSATU is yet another demonstration of the continued consolidation of its long-standing partnership with NATO”, NATO underlined in a statement. Australia and New Zealand, which are not Allies, also participate in NSATU. (CG)
