MEPs approve ‘Ridel-Bentele’ report on the EU’s ‘Global Gateway’ investment strategy

25/02/2026 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 25 February, the members of the European Parliament’s Development Committee (DEVE) and Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET) approved the draft report on ‘Global Gateway’ prepared by Chloé Ridel (S&D, French) and Hildegard Bentele (EPP, German), with 60 votes in favour, 23 against and 5 abstentions.
