European Commission wants to integrate Western Balkans into European roaming area

25/02/2026 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 25 February, the European Commission proposed extending the European roaming network to the countries of the Western Balkans, namely Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia. The aim is to enable citizens of the countries concerned, as well as people travelling between the EU and the Western Balkans, to make phone calls, send text messages and use mobile data without additional roaming charges.
