Some 10 European ministers call for rapid reform of Common Fisheries Policy

On Monday 17 November in Brussels, the fisheries ministers of some 15 EU Member States called for an urgent reform of the Common Fisheries Policy (CFP), which they felt was ill-adapted to current realities.

Spain is said to be behind this call, which has been relayed by a number of ministers (see EUROPE B13752A2). A note to this effect has been signed by Belgium, Croatia, Estonia, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal and Spain:...
