On Tuesday 11 November, in a progress report on the 2008 directive on ‘implementing the principle of equal treatment between persons irrespective of religion or belief, disability, age or sexual orientation’, the Danish Presidency of the Council of the EU was forced to acknowledge its failure to bring this dossier, which has been on hold since July, to a successful conclusion (see EUROPE B13721A20).
