EU Council removes Burundian intelligence officer from its list of sanctioned persons

23/09/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Monday, 22 September, the Council of the European Union removed Mathias-Joseph Niyonzima, a known agent of Burundi’s national intelligence services, from the list of persons targeted by the EU’s restrictive measures.
