European Parliament and EU Council make progress towards agreement on EDIP, but budget still poses problem

On Monday 22 September, the European Parliament and the EU Council held their meeting of inter-institutional negotiations (trilogue) at political level on the European Defence Industry Programme (EDIP).

This meeting helped to make progress, according to MEP Adam Bielan (ECR, Polish), who briefed his counterparts on the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) after the meeting.
