27/05/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 27 May, the General Affairs Council adopted a targeted amendment to the regulation on CO2 standards for new passenger cars and light vans(see EUROPE B13635A18). This amendment allows manufacturers to comply with their obligations for the years 2025, 2026 and 2027 by averaging their performance over the three-year period, rather than over each year.
