The risk of injury on shared micro-mobility vehicles, i.e. electric bikes and scooters, has continued to fall since 2021, said the coalition of shared micro-mobility suppliers Micro-Mobility for Europe (MMfE) on Monday 28 April.
In fact, this risk has fallen by 7.9% between 2023 and 2024. While the number of journeys increased by 4%, the total number of injuries caused by users of shared electric scooters fell by 4%.
